At last after continuous pursuasions the memo of security return
of 65 DR JTO has
been released. Now the payment process has to be taken up with the account side.
It will take further time for the final payment. All are requested to confirm
their name in
the list. We are also pursuing hard for the release
of E1 to E2 list of all cases. It is
expected to be released in a day or two.

Subject : Meeting with the GMM, ETR, Patna
Today a committee led by Wasi Ahmad CS, Sri Amitabh Nadan ACS,
Sri Prabhat Kumar Org Sec & Sri Deepak Kumar Member AIGETOA,
Bihar met to the GM, ETR Patna, regarding the different issues pending
in the ETR Patna.
He was apprised about the condition prevailing in the
ETR Patna,
that an official has to run pillar to post even to solve his petty
issues.
Mainly the EPF, SDE promotion,E1 to E2, Stipend Arrear etc were
discussed
and memorandum was submitted to him. He assured to resolve
all issues
to its earliest. The EPF balance sheet upto 2005-06 is available
in the
ETR, section and it will be dispatch to the individuals. He assured to
initiate
serious persuasion with EPF authorities for the rest of statements
and other
EPF related issues. All ETR members are requested to contact
Sri

through
him to take it in future meetings.

Subject : Meeting with the CGMT, Bihar Telecom Circle
Today a committee led
by Wasi Ahmad CS, AIGETOA, Bihar met
to the
Chief General Manager, Bihar Telecom
Circle in a very positive and conducive
atmosphere along with charter of
demands pertaining to DR JTO's of Bihar. A
detailed discussion was held
about the different issues. The CGMT, Bihar assured
to resolve all outstanding issues in a fixed
time frame. He assured that the security
memo will be released in a week, the pending E1 to E2 will
be release in the month
of March'09 and the officiating SDE by April'09. The Rule-8 cases will also be settled
as soon as the 2007 batch JTO's join the circle. Other issues
of the DR JTO's and
the department also came in discussion.
It is further to add here, that a list of the DR JTO's who have completed six years
of service are attached. All concerned
are requested to ensure that whether his
annexure-1 & 2 has been sent to Circle Office
or not & he has submitted his last
six
year CR's.In case of query about
pending CR, one may contact Mr. Amitabh Nandan
for the status of his CR at 9431200632. The
cooperation of everyone is required for
early settlement of the grievances. Kindly ensure that your case figures in the list. Also
ensure that your annexure-1 & 2 has been sent by your SSA/UNIT and your last Six
Yr
CR's are complete.

GS & Delegates of AIGETOA met
CMD along with all the functional directors of BSNL Board
on 4th Dec'08 at 18:00 hrs. in the board
room. After long discussion of around 2 hrs. with all
the pros and cons, CMD Shri kuldeep Goyal decided
to held in abeyance the notification of so
called MT and instructed the concerned officials
to take up our issues and resolve before the
31st of this month. He also requested us to submit
the complete charter of demands by the
next day.
At last, AIGETOA has decided to call off the agitation with appeal
to the members to
immediately resume their duties and work extra hours/holidays to make up
the losses
due to our absence and to give the best services to our esteemed customers.

It is a matter of satisfaction that after continuous pursuation of our respected CS,
Wasi Ahmad, with the DGM(A)
and an intervention from our respected CGMT,

As we
all know that the outside recruitment of the Management Trainee
is not
only going to block our career but it will also block the career of
thousands
of those executives who were absorbed
from DOT to the
BSNL
and are still have a 15-20 years of the service in BSNL. And those

The Cabinet
meeting, chaired by the Prime Minister Sri Manmohan Singh, has approved the new scales for 1,20,000
non-unionised supervisory staff and
2,58,000 board level officers in 216 operational Central PSUs( there are 247 CPSEs,
of which 216
are in operation) w.e.f from 1-1-2007. A pay hike ranging from 50% to 300% is expected. The Cabinet
relied on the committee of secretaries recommendations to classify PSUs into four categories - A,
B, C and D, instead of five
categories - A+, A, B, C and D recommended by the Rao Committee in May.

The
14'th HOCC Board Room adventure invited a flurry of responses from GEJTOs. Setting aside all the repugnant, angst-laden, college
freshman ribaldry, this one below is a saner publishable rejoinder:

Dear
CMD BSNL,
Let us thank you at the outset for your mentioning us in grand meeting the fourteenth. Some of us have been going
through traumatic existential crisis, and your mere words have served in good stead, so please accept our thanksgiving. They
now know that they exist.
Some of us are rather
hot blooded and ambitious, and they have been frenetically searching for the 'Mark' since your ' not up to the mark' utterance.
But be assured, and relax in your felt-leather cushiony high chair, that they won't find any.
Those with good maths
are immensely happy, but those with poor English are behaving as if they are caught red-handed for some crime. They are going
through usual guilty-conscious period. But they also are harmless.
So, with your clean,
crisp, legendry remarks and equally bright maths and English addendum by another abler judge, you have no reason to worry.
But some among us are
jittery to the point of absurdity, and these are the lot which scream innocuous words like 'justice' and 'unjust' even in
their sleep and dreams. They may cause some noise, but being so small in number (<3% of total company strength), they are
also largely harmless. Maximum you need to silence them is an apologetic wink, nod, statement or gesture, whatever. And that,
perhaps, may not be a big deal for you and a brief note will undo almost everything.
To give you rather complete
stock of the situation, they have even tried to find whether you and other adjutants can be sued for such remarks. And to
their resentment, which made them more jittery, they have found that there is no scope for lawyers here. Some even tried to
search videos or transcripts of the meeting, to know other or more slanderous phrases, but they have failed. But there are
certain interesting counter-and-oblique-remarks, which are summarized below:
-
Some
said that we can not be held guilty, legally, for our own recruitment because company did that (some added 'for our misfortune').
-
Some
said that your post is new compared to ours and due to lack of proper precedence; it’s actually you, who is completely
missing the 'mark'.
-
Some
showed, empirically through graphs and figures, that they are actually way ahead of their predecessors ('marks').
-
Some,
who perhaps have read some unsavoury management books, say that such remarks are unethical to the core, unbecoming of the
post, beyond books of management, and detrimental for the general atmosphere of the company.
-
Some
even dared to compare resumes and actually put forth their CVs.
-
Some
blamed your education (out-dated) and some your responsibility (too much for your age and health). Some suspect sensex crash.
-
Some
shouted slogans like ‘go back to management school’ which became short later–‘go back to school’.
-
Some
compassionate comrades said that such behaviour is manifest in nearly all 'near retirement ardent and well-to-do reformists'.
They used certain psychology jargon like 'syndrome' etc.
-
Some
actually threatened to prove you right.
-
All, as an exception, are at loss as what action is to be taken because, as per the custom of the company, the
minutes of the meeting, like every other letter, have come down tumbling into their laps, written too many 'For n/a please'.
So, dear sir, we have apprised you of the situation, which is nonetheless,
under control. Even though we are hurt, it will only help us to learn that famous dictum of Buddha that 'the life is suffering',
what if more so, being in your ‘company’.
